Pre-Kindergarten Classes

If your child is moving on to kindergarten next year, then it is time to enroll them in our pre-K program at Back Mountain Day Care. Our advanced pre-K program is specially created for children from 4 to 5 years old.

At Back Mountain Day Care, we bring over 20 years of experience in early childhood education to our curriculum.

Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten

Preparing your child for kindergarten can be stressful, but it shouldn't have to be! Don't fret about if you've taught your son or daughter enough to get them ready for the next step in their education.

Thanks to our team at Back Mountain Day Care, you don't have to worry! Our pre-K classes will help your child to develop their fine motor skills as well as learn to recognize their name, address, phone numbers, letters, and numbers.

A More Challenging Curriculum

• Our pre-K curriculum follows many of the same themes as our preschool program, but at a slightly more challenging level. Our lessons include:
  Art projects with cutting, pasting, folding, painting and coloring
• Cool-cooking
• Free-play time to encourage socialization
• Outdoor playtime
  

Providing Food for Your Child Daily

As with all of our day care programs, your child will receive breakfast, lunch, and one snack, all prepared according to USDA guidelines. 

Before and after-school care programs are available for older children. Local school buses stop right at our location for more convenient transportation. Summer camp and field trips are available too for an additional fee. Give us a call at (570) 674-4030 for more details.
