Starting Your Child's Path of Learning

Beginning your child's education in a preschool program is a great way to ensure that they are ready for regular school down the road. At Back Mountain Day Care, our engaging preschool program is offered for children from 3 to 4 years old.

Most of our teachers have degrees in early childhood education and are highly experienced when it comes to teaching preschoolers.

Themed Weekly Classes

Your preschooler will attend daily classes that meet their current level of learning. Every week, we'll introduce a new theme or topic that will help develop your child's fine motor skills. For example, they'll start by controlling a crayon and work their way up to controlling a pencil. 

A Well-Rounded Curriculum

Your preschooler's curriculum will be based primarily on their skill level. However, we incorporate the following types of activities into most of our days:

• Art projects with cutting, pasting, folding, painting and coloring
• Cool-cooking for yummy snacks
• Free-play time to encourage socialization
• Outside play to enjoy the great outdoors
  

Healthy Breakfast and Lunch

As part of all our programs, your child will enjoy breakfast, lunch, and a snack during their day. All our meals are prepared according to USDA guidelines.

Call our locally owned center at (570) 674-4030. We're proud to be a member of the Keystone STARS program as well as an Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC). Additionally, you can rest easy knowing that our staff undergoes CPR training, along with first aid training, to maintain their 18 hours of training as required by the DHS.
