A Structured Educational Schedule for Toddlers
As your child grows into a toddler, it is important that they're challenged both academically and socially. At Back Mountain Day Care, we stick to a structured schedule of learning and playing, with the goal of your child growing in a positive direction each and every day! We have almost 20 years of experience.
Building Your Child's Learning Habits
During your toddler's day at Back Mountain Day Care, we'll incorporate activities that develop their hand-eye coordination, finger dexterity, and motor skills. Our toddler program is for children between 14 months and 3 years old. The curriculum includes:
- Art projects with non-toxic finger paint or Play-Doh
- Beginner's alphabet
- Counting
- Finger-plays
- Gross motor activities
- Music
- Nursery rhymes
- Storytime
We are also a member of the Keystone STARS program. This means that our center is dedicated to increasing social, emotional, developmental and learning skills, as well as improving your child's readiness for school. Rest assured knowing that all cameras and doors are armed and locked.
Physical Activity and Nap Time
Your toddler will love spending time on our climbing gym, where they can use their muscles to explore. This area includes blocks, a sensory table, puzzles, and many other toys.
However, rest time is just as important as physical activity! That's why we incorporate nap time into your toddler's schedule between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. We provide cots for children to nap in and you'll be given a daily log of your toddler's activities throughout the day. In fact, we provide a report for parents in all our programs, so you can track the overall progress of your child.
Additionally, we adhere to a sick policy, including immunization, as per Pennsylvania state guidelines.
Meals Prepared According to USDA Guidelines
- Your toddler will be provided with delicious, healthy meals during their time at our center. All meals are prepared according to USDA guidelines and disposable utensils and dishes are provided as well. Every day, your child will receive:
- Breakfast
- Lunch
- One snack
We've been fostering the development of toddlers since 2004. Any questions? Call our center at (570) 674-4030. Se Habla Español!
